Robbiegirl:

We also flew back from Venice (12:35pm) with a layover in Amsterdam. From Amsterdam to DTW we flew on another one of those nice, new, shiny Airbus A-330 airplanes! Have a great trip - we sure did!

DW, bless you. I have not been out of the country since 1990 and have been a little anxious about the flight. We are not sitting first class and I just want to know it will all run smoothly.
We look forward to a wonderful trip.

Relax. Two beautiful cities. Nice new airplanes. Gorgeous KLM flight attendants on the leg from Venice to Amsterdam. Very efficient airport (Schipol) in Amsterdam. Everything will run smoothly.

There was decent legroom in coach on the Airbus A-330. In addition, there is a personal video device for each seat, and free alcoholic beverages. You will have a great time.

I am glad to help out a fellow "Detroiter" (which I assume you are if you are flying out of DTW?)

OPPS. Just found a NW flight to Rome, direct. Expedia did not reveal it the first time I looked. It did just now.
I like my crow without feathers.
Shoes with laces; they get caught in my teeth when I take the foot out.

Less than 9 hours at that.

Bob,

You probably didn't see that nonstop flight DTW-FCO the 1st time you looked because it is seasonal (May-Oct I think; I see Pat has mentioned that above).

You earlier said that you thought all NWA flights to Europe are operated by KLM. Actually, NWA uses their aircraft for nonstop flights to LGW, FRA, CDG, seasonal nonstop to FCO and several to AMS. Of course, all flights connecting through AMS will continue either on KLM or another partner airline.

In addition, some NWA coded flights from USA to Europe may now be on a Delta, Continental, Air France or Alitalia aircraft.

No problem, Bob..just wonder about those navigation skills...wink.
Now as for gorgeous flight attendants, good that will make my husband happy any nice looking males?
Nope, not a fellow detroiter..although I know some people from there. Dont ask but we are flying from Florida.
So if there are free alchoholic beverages on coach, does that mean I dont have to take the Ambien and Xanax???? LOL

Took flight #66 on 9/13, had no problems with arrival times, but it was hell getting my luggage. Limoservicerome waited for me, however.
