Traveling to Rome with a connecting flight in Charlotte, NC

We will be traving from Phoenix to Rome, connecting in CLT. We have a 1 hour 15 minute layover in CLT and we are wondering if that will be enough time?
Thanks fir any info!

I don't see any issues. Your connecting flight to Rome will be just like a domestic flight - no different procedures at CLT.

Whenever people ask the "enough time" question, a huge factor in answer is "if your first flight is on time" - and no way anyone could know that. Since ticket seems already booked, not much you can do - but I would feel more comfortable with more time - just in case first flight is delayed.

I always factor more time for international flight connections. International flights are large and typically start boarding one hour before departure.

I've changed planes in CLT on my way to Europe only once, so this is highly anectodal "evicence".
But I found it very easy and not much walking and uneventful to make my way to the intl departure gate.
While they do board earlier ahead of departure time than for a domestic 737, it also takes much longer for 300+ pax to get on board. So boarding ends no sooner or later than for the tiniest commuter plane.
The only downside could be that some people might have already boarded and taken up the bin space..

An hour is extreme, though 45 minutes is common. It doesn't take that long to board a widebody with two aisles. The one that takes really long to board is something like a 757-300.
