stroll along the Promenade des Anglaises, check out the Cours Saleya, check out the boats in the harbor... sit out on the rocks and contemplate the sea.

if you have a car, drive the Moyenne Corniche to Menton, the Grande Corniche back to Nice. (or vice versa)

the TO is on the main drag, near to where the Prom d'A turns into the Quai des Etats-Unis - so check to see if there is a concert or anything on your evening in town.

have fun! wish I were back there.

beth

I assume you're on a cruise and don't get to Nice (or Villefranche) until 11:00 and leave at around 10:00 pm. We took a train to Monte Carlo for the afternoon to see the Palace, Casino and Seaquarium plus do some shopping. You could also get off at Eze and take a bus up to this medieval walled city (has a perfume factory to tour as well). Trains are very convenient and inexpensive.

Also the museums; Matisse, Chagall (easily accessible by bus) and the Museum of modern art which is close to the port.

Walk through the old city, stroll up to the top of the chateau, enjoy life & some wine on the beach. Go to the Chagall museum. Visit the HUGE botanical gardens.

Check out the Nice website for more ideas

make sure to see the Musée National Message Biblique Marc Chagall (a.ka.a. the Chagall Museum).

A good deal to keep in mind is the bus ride from Nice to Monaco - fantastic views and it only costs $1.50, because it is sponsored by the casinos
