Nice, Provence Hotel Reccomendations
Hi travelers!
I'm hoping you can help me with hotel recommendations in Nice, Aix and Avignon. We are spending two nights in Nice and 3 nights in either Aix or Avignon (we haven't decided yet).
We're looking for an fairly affordable price (under $300 per night). Room with a bathroom and crib availability. Local to attractions, and great restaurants. If breakfast was included that would be amazing, but I understand that's not as common. I'm not opposed to renting either.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated. We're flying into Nice 5/30.
Thank you

We liked the Hotel le Grimaldi. http://en.le-grimaldi.com/photo-gallery
They have a beautiful breakfast room. We paid a little extra to get breakfast included
Hotel is well-located. Short walk to the Promenade.

In Nice and Aix, I stayed in Marriott owned properties using redemption points.
In Avignon, I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel for 4 nights. It was a pre-paid, non-cancellable, non-refundable rate which included breakfast. My total for the 4 nights was $905.51USD.
The hotel is great! It is located directly across the street from the ramparts and the main street in the old town and a couple of buildings away from the train station. Underground parking is available also.
My room was outstanding!!! If you look at their website under the Photos Gallery > Rooms link, my room was the 4th photo. It was basically a suite! Had a separate living, dining and bedroom with a balcony (back of hotel so no view of anything nice.) In the pictures, you can't see the small dining table and chairs. Really nice bathroom and a ton of closets. I highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Massena. Just off the place of the same name. I avoid hotel breakfasts in France... There's a nice cafe on the corner that will be half the price and you get to sit outside rather than in a basement!
