Netherlands to begin with

Hi all, on my 1st trip to Europe in April. Very excited at that! Plan to start in Netherlands, then Belgium, London, Paris, Rome, Florence, then back to NL. Need help in terms of doing this the best way--train vs plane..would you guys have the links for these? I like seeing the usual tourist spots, but also those which are not. Would appreciate having a Must-See, Must Eats, etc. list.
Thanks guys!

Hi K,

How many days for this trip?

I think a better order would be

Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome, London, AMS.

See www.whichbudget for discount air fares.

See www.bah.de for train schedules.

Don't buy any railpasses until you have entered your itinerary at www.railsaver.com and clicked "only if it saves money".

Thanks for the help! browsing thru whichbudget.com now.

Whole trip should be for a month. And i wanted to use Ams as a base since Im visiting a friend there, and we're thinking of travelling together to paris and italy.

Checked the site you provided, but it didnt lead me to a train site. (led me to a consulting firm's site)

another q--any suggestion on things to wear. it's supposedly spring, but im coming from a country which is really hot..so i dont know if "spring" weather for others is actually winter for me already!

thanks again!

The train site is bahn.de

For clothing, layer, layer, layer. Could be cold, could be quite warm (probably won't really need shorts, though). Have waterproof stuff, too.

kap,

You asked about what to wear, a common question here, even this week. See this thread for starters.

All things Amsterdam is also very common here. I suggest that you use the "Search this forum" feature above and punch in Amsterdam. You'll find a lot of must-see and must-eat suggestions. Then pop back with specific questions.
