maria: You posted an almost identical thread about Scotland -- 4 days, want to know about an interesting city, visit the countryside, inexpensive lodging, etc.
I appears you have done almost no research of your own. Not trying to be mean here -- but 4 days for Ireland and 4 days for Scotland isn't much in either place. How are you traveling between Ireland and Scotland? Do you plan on driving in both countries?
Why are you going to Ireland and Scotland - in other words, why did you pick them? What are you interested in????

In Ireland I would recommend, Dublin , Kerry, Cork, Galway.
In Scotland, I would recommend, Edinburgh, and the highlands.

Not sure I know where the city of Kerry is. It really does depend where you are flying. If you are flying into Dublin, then .... well ... Dublin. The countryside to the south is beautiful, you could see Glendalough and Powerscourt and the Wicklow mountains. To the north is Newgrange a very interesting megalithic site.
If you fly into Shannon, you will find more spectacular scenery. From there I would visit Galway. It's a vibrant small city, very young. Co. Clare has beautiful countryside with lots to offer.
