Need help with transportation to Earl's Court
Here's the scenario. My hubby, myself and two daughters(aged 7 and 9) will be arrive at Heathrow at 6:00am. What will be the easiest, quickest, and most affordable way to get to Earl's Court. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Earl's Court. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jennifer

My son and I are staying there in June. I found this Trip Advisor review very helpful:

The map and instructions aren't very clear - and seem to be wrong anyway
What you need to do is take the Tube from Heathrow to Barons Court then take a taxi the rest of the way.
Alternatively, take the Tube to Hammersmith then the 190 bus
If that's too much then organise a car service
Go to http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk to get details for your specific circumstances along with maps of the areas where you change from Tube / bus / walk

alanRow and rogeruktm have given you the best info. However for both jennifero35 and CAPH52 -- are you getting really REALLY good rates? If so fine. But otherwise, this is probably not the best/most convenient location. The hotel is nearly 1/2 a mile walk from the W Ken or W Brompton tube stations which are only on the District line. Not terrible - but there are better areas for a base to visit London.
Like I said - if you are getting a real bargain, then you can cope w/ the location . . . .

The rate through hotwire was $49 a night for the 4 of us, including a breakfast. I thought that it was to good of a deal to pass up. We are used to walking so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the advice though.

Jennifer: it'd be much easier to go from West Kensington: Piccadilly Line, change at Hammersmith or Barons Court (same platform).
To go to West Brompton, you'd have to change platforms at Earl's Court, which means stairs, and you might by then be running into the rush-hour commuters.
You could try getting a bus from West Ken:

You know - at 7:30 a.m. w/ two small children and after a probably sleepless night (or nearly so) - I'd personally hate schlepping kids and bags on two tube rides and/or a bus -- even if it DID save a bit of £/$.
You got such a great rate for the hotel - splurge a teensy bit and book a car service. Just Airports will charge about £30 give or take (for all of you, not per person) and bee door-to-door from LHR arrivals to the hotel.
