Heathrow to London options tomorrow morning (Thurs)

Hi, we land in Heathrow tomorrow (Thursday) morning at about9.30. Can you suggest a couple of options to get to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel please?

Thank you

Angela

it's my understanding that you can take a train to paddington--there is a non-stop (more expensive) or one with stops--and you can take the tube (cheaper, slower , more irritating)

Unless you have too much luggage- the tube is your best bet. That hotel is very close to the Knightsbridge tube station which is on the direct line in from LHR w/o any changes.

the trains youngtom suggests only get you to Paddington and then you'd need to take a taxi from there. There is no direct tube connection from Paddington to Knightsbridge so it would involve changing and be a real slog.

Another option is a car service - but you must pre-book it and you may be cutting things too close for that. Try justairports.com

there are many threads on this ..as I asked... there is calling for a car.. justairports.com I think it was.. but there are others.. google care service Heathrow.. if you are interested and cant find it write back..I think we paid 48 pounds.. something like that.

The tube.. get off closet to hotel and then take a cab..someone else will probably write with better instructions.. You can google a map of the tube stations.or there might be one right by you..

There is also theHeathrow Express ..which is a bus.. You can google that too.

- The Heathrow Express is a train not a bus and it goes to Paddington

- a car service like justairports should cost approx £30 or a wee bit more. Less if you pay cash.

- sorry, but if you hail a cab from the Knightsbridge tube station, he will laugh at you since the hotel is practically across the street.

sorry ! Yes the Express is the train.

The car service .. we did Just Airports.. was 44 pounds.. plus tip and another 4 pounds for parking...

did have three of us though..four pieces luggage.... so we used the larger car..

it was VERY nice though to get off and have someone waiting..

Thank you.

We will probably get the tube direct to Knightbridge, it seems easiest and cheapest.

Can you tell me which terminal this is located in, or where I can find it?

Thanks!
