Need help with Miracle from Spain

While in Fatima, Portugal this summer, I purchased a beuatiful cross similiar to an orthodox cross. The woman in the shop said it was a special cross for a miracle that took place in a town in Spain. I cannot remember the name of the town. I believe it started with a C. Can anyone help? Thanks

Powerpuff71, I can't answer your question but I am interested in your cross.

I bought an old cross at el Rastro (antique/flea market) in Madrid on one of my first trips there about 20+ years ago. It is kind of like an orthodox cross but w/out the little cross-piece at the bottom. It is made of bronze, I think, and is quite worn. I can make out the crown of thorns and the nail marks; there are other symbols less clear, including what looks like an arabic-style scmitir (spelling?) or sword...

I've always wanted to know more about it; I even took it to the Antiques Roadshow last spring, but they were clueless.

If you learn more, please share!

Perhaps it is a Caravaca cross? Are there angels at the bottom, where the foot rest would be on an Orthodox cross?

I think it has to be a Caravaca cross. A picture of it and a description of the miracle can be found at :
