Need help with Europe Trip

Hello all!
Me and some friends are going to be going to Europe in January and need some help. We're going to spend 2 days in London, 2 days in Paris, and 6 days in Holland. We have Holland all figure out all ready so that's not the problem. However, we need help getting the cheapest air fare and how to get from one country to the next. We know we want to take the underground train from London to Paris but everything else is unknown. What do you recommend to see in London and Paris? What is January like in those countries weather wise? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

January is pretty darn cold, of course, being the dead of winter. It can get pretty gray and gloomy in northern Europe in winter.

I would recommend you just take the train from Paris to Amsterdam, if that's where you are going in the Netherlands. I'm sure there is probably some airline that flies that route, but it's not a long train trip, and I prefer trains to flying for short trips. I just don't like getting to and from airports, as well as having to be there farther ahead of time than when taking the train. There is a high-speed train between those cities so it's not that long a trip.

I don't remember the exact city that we will be staying in while in Holland but I know it's not Amsterdam. We're probably just going to fly or train in there and figure another way to our city.

If you decide to fly to Holland, check out transavia.com. They go from London to Rotterdam, and it's only a 35 minute flight. Much faster than the train, and you lose an hour going east. That time of year the days are very short, so prepare yourself for dark afternoons...

It's the middle of winter, so it will be cold with short days all three places. I would probably choose the train myself, since it goes from city center to city center, rather than having to get out to airports outside the cities and I enjoy train travel in Europe generally.
