Need help short stay near Ephesus

Will be taking early morning (8:30?) ferry Samos to Kusadasi and then must leave next afternoon for 5:10 PM flight Izmir to Kayseri. don't normally make things so tight but is just the way it worked out. Only must see is Ephesus. Should we rent car in Kusadasi drive to Ephesus and then on to Izmir to spend night or shoul we stay in Selcuk, Sirince or Kusadasi for the night and drive to airport next day from there??

I would stay in Selcuk and then just drive the next day to the Izmir airport. The drive is all interstate freeway type and it doesn't take long.

If you hire a car and stay in Selcuk or Sirince you are better off but Kusadasi is fine too if you want to experience the touristy town and nightlife.
Its easy to drive to Airport.
have fun in Ephesus and in Cappadocia...
Do not miss the Ephesus museum in Seljuk after or before Ephesus site and terrace house in Ephesus.

Hi Belly,

Stay in Selcuk because there are lots of places you have to visit more then EPHESUS (ruin) like Ephesus museum, St John Church, Virgin Mary's House, 7 Sleepers Cave (which was converted to Church), Artemission (Which was the 7 wanders of the world)

You may stay in SIRINCE if you love small town.

Have a nice trip in Turkey

I am looking toward Turkey for next spring, and Ephesus is one of the main reasons I want to go there. I am getting cold feet. Am I over-reacting? I have been to Israel (10 years ago) but never to any other location other than US, Canada, and Europe. This is with a friend who organizes small tours. I need to make an unofficial commitment fairly soon. I teach Bible classes and several people have expressed interest, but I don't know if I even want to go myself much less encourage others to go. (I am NOT recruiting to get a cheaper trip for myself, by the way. Just thinking a trip with a few friends of similar interest would be nice.) PJK

Hi PJK

I do NOT understand why do you worry to much?. KEEP IN YOUR MIND I will be in Kusadasi which very close to Selcuk or Ephesus after July 10th until September 20th. I'll be very happy to help you.

Have a nice trip in Turkey

Stay in Selcuk. Any place such as Anz Guesthouse will take care of your needs. They have experience in making the weary traveler feel at ease and will accomodate any need. Any need! Nearly any hotel in Selcuk will make you feel at home and many have e-mail's that will correspond with you before you arrive. I have traveled much to this area and the people of Selcuk are delightful and it will break your heart when you go home. Your experience in Selcuk is an experience you'll NEVER be able to bring home. Unforgettable.
