Need Computer Help - This Fodor's website is driving me crazy!

I'm so frustrated with something that just started today. In the list of menus across the top on the site, one is called "Trip Ideas". It has just started dropping down everytime I do anything on here, and hides the beginning of the posts. Fortunately, there is a tiny "x" thing to get rid of it temporarily, but it always comes back whenever I open up another post or change Forums, etc. I see that on the list of menus across the top, on the "Trip Ideas" one, there is a little "x" this on it, but not on the other menus.
Maybe I did something to activate this, without meaning to??
Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?
I usually use AOL (and have pop-ups blocked, etc.). I can also get on this site using AT&T, but the same thing is happening there.

Any advice would be appreciated!

They are talking about this in the Lounge, I just deleted the cookies and history on my computer and that worked to clear it up. The editors were "updating" today.

Thank you, Sue878! I just cleared it up, too, by deleting the cookies and history. It was so frustrating.

Here's the link from the lounge.
I use Firefox Mozilla - the shift + reload fix did it for me.....I hate to delete history and cookies - it makes it difficult on many websites I go to....

No, I STILL have it. And I don't want to delete cookies and history either - causes too many problems.
Please, please, fix this, Fodors!!

Thanks for bringing this up. I thought it was just me!

On another note, the Sony advertisement is annoying as well.

I deleted just today's history (mac/firefox) and it cleared everything up. Haven't had any problems for hours.

I still get the "trip ideas" menu open and when I click to open it that d*mn ad opens. This is annoying. Is Fodors down to THAT level when they need to bother users with pop-up ads all the time?

Yes, it's happening to me, too. Very annoying! When I click on the plus sign next to 'Trip Ideas' the drop-down menu goes away, but it's a pain to be doing it over and over. I'll try deleting cookies and see if that works.
