Need CDG orientation
My husband is flying from Frankfurt to Paris via Lufthansa (domestic ervice) while my sons and I are coming in via United international. Don't know which terminals we arrive at (not on the web site yet) nor do I have an idea of where to meet up. We'll be renting from Hertz and again, I don't know where their offices are at the airport. We are supposed to arrive within an hour of each other. Any experiences or suggestions will be very helpful. Thx

CDG has the dubious reputation of being one of the worst airports in Europe-- child-unfriendly, specially. I would wait by the Hertz counter or at the chapel located in the Shops and Services Area, between Halls 2A, 2B, 2C & 2D, lower level. At least one of you should have a cell phone, specially if meeting at an unfamiliar place with children at tow.

When I flew Lufthansa out of CDG, it was from T1. The CDG guide says it still flies in and out of T1.
United also flies into T1.
Also, I think the rental car counter for a meeting place is a good idea because someone there will be able to speak English.
Also, there is a McDonalds Restaurant in T1 and it is findable.
At least you would have a place to sit down and be able to get something to eat and drink.
That may strike some of you as tacky, but it is a place that is visible, available to both parties, and offers a place to sit rather than stand. And, both parties will remember the name of it.
Sorry, but I don;t know where the HERTZ counter is located.

There's a little café right opposite the Information Booth at Door 34 that would be easier to find than the MacDonald's and would have better croissants. As you exit into the terminal from Customs, just look left and you'll see it.
