Need a hotel recommendation for paris

Want to stay near Luxenborg Gardens with l/21 mile of the Seine. Walking distance to the Arrondissment #1 and 2. Don't mind walking perimeter of 2 miles and will be taking the metro also. Catagory #3 hotels, around $160 US. ANyone have a good recommendation for the Saint Germain Pres area? Comfortable bed and updated bath.

No a/c is offered, but I really liked this hotel last January
Hotel Delavigne, rue Casimir Delavigne,6th.
Short distance to Luxembourg RER/metro.
Ask for one of their larger rooms, they vary in size.
If you search on the hotel by name here, you should find more details in my earlier postings.

We really love the du Danube on Rue Jacob..it's in walking distance of the 6,7 4, 1 ,5 and if you are walkers ..even more. The large superior rooms are 150Euro and we really enjoy the staff.

I've stayed at the Danube and the location is very convenient. However, I am one of the few who didn't like the decor and the staff were not welcoming during our visit. Maybe it was an off week.

Thanks for your suggestions, I didn't check either of these. I'm starting to fall asleep at the computer with hotel overload. Joyce

I think Hotel Monge on rue Monge falls into your category, although it is actually a high 2* (no more than 100 euros a night). You can search for it on this website and get lots of recommendations. The metro is very close by, also good, safe car parking. There are buses every half hour up to the Seine, it's a very good location, barely 5 minutes from the Pantheon. Opposite is the 3* Hotel des Nations, where I have also stayed. While it is more expensive it is not actually any better than Hotel Monge.

I can definitely recommend Hotel Monge as great value for money, in a good location.

hotel le regent, rue dauphine? I am not sure of the price, but it's a very nice, reasonably affordable hotel within your personal orbit.

take a look and see.

bon chance!
