Even if you stay in the center of Florence, you will still only be 15 minutes from the airport. I've caught early flights with no problem--have your hotel call a cab for you.

Yeah Just stay in Florence. We take flights out in the early am all the time. And make sure the hotel you are staying at calls a cab the night before and in the morning if they can. Get the # of the cab Company also.

All these fans are right. The most unknown perk about Florence is the proximity of the airport. Early AM no more than 20 minutes, hardly enough time to wake up in the cab!

I agree. It takes no more than 15 minutes to get from Centro to Peretola. No need to stay at the airport. Peretola is tiny, we aren't talking Heathrow here. It takes 1 minute to walk from the ticket counter to the gates.
