When we leave London, our flight is at 930am from Heathrow. I believe they want a three hour check in. We are staying at a home equidistant from Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner tube stops. What is the most efficient way to get to the airport that early? What time does the tube start running if we decide to walk to Hyde Park Corner? Does it make sense to get to Paddington (how?) and take the Heathrow Connect? (I hate to pay for the Express..I am too cheap.) Would a cab to Paddington be hard to get at that hour?
I hate morning flights!!!

How cheap? Hyde Park Corner Tube is on the Piccadilly line that goes straight to Heathrow. The first train from there is at 0550, arriving Terminals 1-2-3 station at 0635. If you're going to T4, you'll want the 0556 that arrives at 0641.
If you want more of a comfort factor (and I don't think it will be necessary at that hour), you'll have to get the 0528 from Hammersmith that arrives at 0600.
If you've got an Oyster card, the fare will be £2 from HPC, or £1 from Hammersmith.
