Name of the Big Department Store near Pont Neuf in Paris

Does anyone here recall the name of the multi storied department store on the right bank of the Seine near the Pont Neuf briidge? I remember that it had a great viewing area on the top floor for pictures of Paris. They also had a restaurant that had resonable prices there as well. Thanks for an uodate on a 10 year old memory...

Samaritaine. It closed. It may or may not reopen, depending on whom you believe. Parts of it (on the side away from the river) appeared to be open, perhaps with boutique/popup tenants, in May.

Developer BS seems to be as bad in Paris as in Boston where the former Filenes flagship store languished amongst Big Plans for many years.

When we were in Paris last we went to the roof of Galeries Lafayette for a nice view--not as good as Samarataine. Is that still possible?

Galeries Lafayette and Printemps both have viewing terraces. The Samaritaine viewing terrace is scheduled to reopen around 2016 if the project is not delayed again.
