Craft stores in Paris, Artist supply stores, and rubber stamps in Paris
Hi, I looked for rubber stamps in Paris and the last time it was talked about in the forum was 2002 I believe. Has anyone noticed any "funky" stores that might sell such? Harvard Square Cambridge MA, had a store called TRUC in the 1960s.--sort of a hippy-dippy store. Is there similar in Paris failing the artsy crafty stores that we have here like Michaels and ACMoore? Thank you.

You might try BHV. I think Paris has a lot of "paper/stationery" stores that are simply wonderful and have creative things. I found some at La Samarataine years ago, but alas, no more. SO you might even check Galeries Lafayette.

You could try www.pagesjaunes.fr and search for "arts graphiques", "papeterie" and "tampons encreur" in Paris. Not sure if any quite fit the "funky" bill, though.

I knew there was something running round the back of my mind. There is a chain called Créa, which also seems to include other chains called Graphigro and Rougier et Plé, which might fit the bill. Unfortunately their website seems to be down at the moment.

Every major department store has a wing with all kinds of "funky" paper/office supplies. Any papeterie will have them (there are loads in the 6ème and one good one by the Ecole Militaire métro stop). Also, in the Latin Quarter and around the Centre Pompidou are all kinds of bizarre little stores selling those kinds of items.
