Has anyone stayed in either the Dorion or Deliades on Ornos Bay? Any other recommended hotels either in Mykonos Town or Ornos? We are trying to stay below 200 euro a night. Thanks.

If you are willing to stay at Platis Yialos Beach, there is a cute hotel for under 200Euro called Petinos. ALso Kosmoplaz on Platis Yialos is also nice.

Personally I lie Platis Yialos better than Ornos.

A few years ago we stayed at the hotel Rochari and had a great time. It has a wonderful view of Mykonos town and the sea. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Their web site is www.rochari.com I think it is about 150Euros in high season.

We were at the Deliades in June. It was my favorite hotel of our entire 3 week, 8 destinations trip through Greece! Our room was very clean and had a huge bathroom done in tile/marble with a tub shower. The view from the balcony was stunning and it was also a great place to relax. The pool is on the small side, however, we don't have kids so it fit the need as a "cool off" function. The breakfast was amazing (the best in my opinion, 2nd best in my husband's opinion!). I found the staff to be very polite and accomodating.

It is a short downhill walk to the beach at Ornos Bay (coming back up is a little less fun! especially after sleeping in the sun all afternoon). There is a bus stop to Mykonos town or a taxi ride is 5 E.

To present all sides, if you are looking for a super luxurious hotel, the Deliades might be a stretch. But I would say we have fairly high standards (but were also on a budget) and we really enjoyed our stay.

I loved, loved, loved this hotel and totally recommend it.

For 160 euro (through greek travel agents) you can stay at a 5 * hotel like the fabulous Mykonos Grand (such rate is not valid in high season between mid july to end of august)
