My Topic Title & Vice versa - Paris/Italy/Madrid

I Have a question here, regarding commuting from Airport to Hotel in Paris/Italy/Madrid/Venice. I understand that taxing a Private Taxi would be the easiest way, but off course not economical.

Last year during my Turkey trip, we got service from 10 seater coaster/van from companies all over Turkey, who used to charge Euro5/ per person for this trip

Anything of that sort available in Paris/Italy/Madrid/Venice

We are 2 Adult + 1 Child and will be carrying 2 suitcases (1 Med + 1 Small)

Your suggestion are valuable

asimm, when I travel from airport to hotel, I pay for a car and (in my mind) add the extra money to the plane fare. When I arrive I am always a bit disoriented and tired, and in no mood to struggle with unfamiliar public transport. Returning to the airport, when you had time to get to know the city, is easier by public transport. The type of shuttle service that you refer to, can be worthwhile. However, after paying for three persons, you may not be too far away from having your own car taking you straight to your hotel. It may be better to mention specific airports for people to respond to your question.

In Madrid it's a flat 30€ fee with taxi from the airport to anywhere in the centre of town.

While checking RYAN air fares, i found an option in which they were asking if transport from & to the hotel is needed or not. I think the cost was Euro 5/-

Is it right

Similarly, do the main airport in ROME,PARIS,MADRID,VENICE offer the same or not (some companies)

With Ryanair the cost is usually FROM 5€.

All these airports have taxis. I always take taxis, can't help more.

Ryan Air often uses airports that are further out from your actual destination.

For all of those airports except Venice there are either small shuttles to various hotels (but don;t expect them to be $5 as in Turkey, the cost of living is very different) or large airport buses to central locations which may be less costly.

There are also inexpensive train options but that means dealing with luggage.

Venice is a different issue. There is no train service to the airport and one can either take a bus to the entrance to the city and hop a vaporetto from there, or take the Alliguna (shared boat) from the airport to a number of stops in Venice - based on where your hotel is. There are also private water taxis but the cost from airport to Venice will be approx 80-100 euros for a group of 6 or less.

I think most cities have tha tkidn of group van service.

I've used it in Madrid and it worked very well. I used this company
http://www.aerocity.com/en/

As for Paris, there are numerous companies there doing it, but I can't recommend one from personal service, the only time I tried one, they didn't show up (Bluvan). But there are other options there, from the city metro/suburban train system to city-run airport buses, to airport buses run by airlines (anyone can get on them). I've used all of those with success and it saves a lot. I'm never in a hurry upon arrival. IN paris, I often use the Air France bus, and last time I used the RER which worked great. My hotel was right next to a metro stop that was only one stop to the RER connection, though.
