My screen name & password wouldn't work; had to re-register under new name???

Hi everyone. Just want to let you know that my Julie_Hurst screen name doesn't work for some reason. So I am now JulieAgain. Didn't want anyone to think I am hiding under a new identity - hummm, just like the CIA! Anyway, anyone else had any problems?

Julie

Some others have had the same problem. If you e-mail fodors, they will send you a new password for your old screen name. Then you can change it if you want.

Hi Julie. I had some problems today too. I really wanted to keep my original name but I did re-register in order to post a question about it.

Someone at Fodor's responded and I'm back to posting under Greenhouse again.

You might also want to try e-mailing [email protected].

Thanks for your replies. I notice Fodors has a "new look". So probably has something to do with that software change.

I also noticed that I do not remain signed in - each time I return, I have to sign in again.

Anyway, when I got my original screen name, Julie_Hurst, I used my name, I thought, as a registration answer; didn't realize it would be my screen name. I don't really like my full name as a screen name, but didn't want to confuse everyone when I posted. Maybe I'll just keep the new one???

Fodors did something to screw it up. To err is human, to really foul things up it takes a computer.

what's screwed up?

All the feature seem to be working just fine . . . .

(IMO - for a site change/re-design like this one, it has been pretty painless. Some sites I use go through hell trying to de-bug site their modifications)

I also had a problem a couple of days ago.

What happened is that they mistakenly sent out new passwords to some accounts.

Instead of ignoring it, I thought I had to sign in with the new password and then I really messed up my registration.

I must say, they answered my email almost immediately and together we corrected the problem.

Thanks Fodor's.

I'm relieved to read this as I also got a new password from Fodors. Instead of reacting to it, I went to the Fodors site and tried my original password and it worked. Then I changed my email address as I have many. I got concerned because someone once hacked into my ebay account and was selling bogus items using my good standing. It was worked out quickly with no problems and ebay closed down the bogus listings, but I thought something like that had happened again.

luvtotravel - The password you received was a mess-up by Fodor's sent to everyone that had ever requested a new password. They said just to ignore it and use your old one. The other problems today are probably because of the new updates.
