My itinerary for Spain in November

I posted previously in the general forum by mistake, here I go again...

We are taking my parents to Spain for the first time, so we will do a few cities with daytrips...

Nov 16-20 Madrid
Nov 20-21 Cordoba
Nov 21-25 Sevilla
Nov 25-29 Toledo

We want to do daytrips to Jerez de la Frontera, Carmona, Chinchon, Aranjuez, Escorial, etc.

You may think that I have lots of days in Toledo but we loved it, nices walks and we can visit little towns with less turists, same in Sevilla.

Our goal is, visit historic places, have GREAT food, learn about the culture, and have fun.

We are using talonotel for the first time but since we have used bancotel, I'm sure is the same thing.

Please help me with the daytrips, thanks.

November is coming up fast. The south of Spain is great during November, and that includes all of Andalucia. Have you checked out "Explore Seville" or Maribel's Guides? They both offer a lot of useful information on the area's you've mentioned..

Are you taking the train or have you a car for the day trips. It will make a big difference for your day trips.

Sounds wonderful to me. I'd suggest a day trip or two from Madrid to Segovia, Avila, or Salamanca.

Have a great trip.

Thanks...

We will rent a car Nov 20...

So, do you think that I can do my daytrips from Toledo and not from Madrid? We plan to go to El Escorial and Valle de Los Caidos (same trip?), then can I do Avila and another city also in one day? just a visit, nothing moore than that.

THanks

you can easily do aranjuez from toledo and possibly chinchon (cute place).

another really nice day trip (fabulous castle parador to visit) is OROPESA. you pass through talavera de la reina ( famous, beautiful ceramics) and continue to oropesa, one of my favorite castle hotels in spain.

i don't see the logic of going to segovia or el escorial from toledo.
you should do that from madrid.

i don't know how old your parents are, or how much moving around they will enjoy. i think your plan looks well thought out, and you will be able to see how much you feel like doing as you go along.

you will be driving right past carmona on your way in to sevilla, so seems like that would be a logical time to take a walk around, go up to the parador and have a snack.

be sure to take the autopista , not the old road.

Well, I'm glad to know that Nov would be good in Andalucia.

My Parents are in their late 50's and late 60's so they are young, love to walk and they are ready to go!!

I plan to do the daytrips from Toledo because we will have the car there, so it really does not matter if is far than Madrid. HOw far it would be? 50 kms more?

I will add Oropesa to my itinerary, last time we visited Consuegra, Jaen and Valdepeñas, is good to be in towns with no turists... I didn't like Nerja, Mijas, Ronda, etc. because of the turists, everything in English, etc... the towns are beautiful but I want to see locals not people who moved there to retire.

Yes, we will take the Autopista
