My Hotel in Paris

hello everybody !

I just stayed in a wonderful hotel in Paris - 6 days in this wonderful city wouldn't have been so nice, without Maria Orsenne, the owner of this little hotel !

This is their website : www.latourmaubourg.com - it has just been re-done...

ahsameul - thanks for that! I have just got back from Paris this weekend and stayed at Hotel Muguet. However, when we were having a drink at the brasserie on Place du Santiago, I noticed La Tour Maubourg hotel - it just looked so charming with its blue awnings. Yesterday, I booked at La Tour (no disrespect to Muguet - that will ALWAYS be a hit with me).

Can you give more details on the hotel?? What was your room like? How was breakfast? How are the bathrooms?? Is it true that Maria is British?

thanks!

Hello AllyPally !

how funny you were just like "next door"

as you, I fell in love with this little house - have you been inside ?

My room was great, on the second floor and to the little place (Santiago). I saw that the rooms on the first floor are a bit larger - but it was all fine for me since they are a little more expensive... My bathroom was all new and very clean.
The breakfast was delicious, but Maria is German I believe - but she speaks wonderful british english !

Hello ahsamuel
Just read your post and was very excited. I booked a room at La Tour several months ago for our visit in September. Since then I have emailed Maria several times with questions about the city and she has been most gracious with her responses.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. We are looking forward to our stay in September. Any info about the neighborhood you can share with me??? Restaurants etc.
Thank you
Diane P

Well, as far as I discovered the neighbourhood, you don't wanna miss the rue cler area - it is such a nice little market street just like they tell you in old storys about europe... only small little shops, all about food, so sad we can't bring them home !
i hope this helps - give faust (the dog) a kiss from me please - and have a nice trip there
