MXP to Verona

Is the best way to get from MXP to Verona to take the The Malpensa Shuttle Bus to Milan Centrale and take the train from there to Verona? We arrive at MXP in April mid-week at 8:30 am. Is it better to buy the train tix at MXP or wait until we get to Milan Centrale?

Is there a web site that gives information on potential train strikes? Thanks!

I would do exactly as you say. I would wait until I reached Milano Centrale to buy my tickets, since n the shutte bus one is at the mercy of traffic.

Also the trains to Verona are plentiful with many different speed options so it will be really easy to just buy a ticket at Centrale and get on a train.

What ellenem and Danie said. We did just that in January. The shuttle to Centrale runs about every 20 minutes and there are many trains to Verona. We bought the tickets at Centrale, rather than risk of the shuttle being delayed and missing our train reservation. The shuttle took a good 1/2 hour, maybe a bit more.

Enjoy your trip in April! If you click on my name you will find my recent trip report that might be helpful.

Thanks all -- sounds simple enough!

basingstoke2, yes, I had already discovered your trip report and took some notes on your stay in Verona. Wasn't Bologona fabulous? We loved it and u must get to Ravenna. We had skipped it on previous trips but finally made it this past Spring and the mosaics were incredible.
