must see TV in Paris!

I know that this is a stupid question but... I'm going to be in Paris during the Stanley Cup finals. Will I be able to see any of the games, or their highlights?
I told you it was a stupid question!

Not a stupid question.
We all have our little priorities. I wish I could help you. I hope someone here, or better yet, a French hockey fan, will respond.
Good luck and allow me to top this for you.

ttt for tt

France (and all of Europe) is much better at following worldwide news/sports than the US, but can't definitively answer your question. Anyone???

This would depend on the TV channels provided by your hotel or a local cafe with a TV. Call your hotel and ask. My experience in Paris includes the time of a World Cup and that was on every TV in the city with cheering crowds everywhere.

World Cup is different from Stanley Cup in terms of the actual participation of the French national team (almost all the time) in the World Cup. Whereas, the Stanley Cup is the national ice hockey league in North America.

However, a few years ago when I was visiting Tournus, Burgundy, my host's son and I were happily exchanging high fives when we were watching live the NBA Finals in their living room. I don't remember, but they had an extensive local cable or satellite hook-up.

This would more than likely be carried by a speciality cable channel such as a sports channel. Unlikely that you will have that in a hotel. However, you may can find it on a big screen in a bar for example. I know The Frog (several locations in Paris) sometimes has sporting events on a projection screen. I would seek out an Expat Bar for whatever country is the biggest fan of the Stanley Cup and you will probably find a feed or can get info as to where to watch it. Good luck!

Definitely try checking with your hotel. I was able to watch the World Series from my 2-star hotel in London one year, which was a total surprise. I hadn't counted on seeing the games, but lo and behold, it was right on my tv screen. Had to stay up until 5 am to watch the Yankees, but it was worth it! Course, Paris might be a different story, but you never know...!

The Cricketeer pub in the 8eme, at rue l'Arcade and rue des Mathurins shows some American sports, as a friend watched the Masters there (into the wee hours). A lot of the Irish/English pubs have cable, so you could just ask them to show it, if they aren't already.
