I agree that the dinner cruises are a ripoff, but there is one that isn't--Yachts de Paris--small motor launch.
BUT I'd eat on dry land and stroll along the Seine later.

Actually, the dress is much more casual, even at the finer restaurants than they used to be. For winter, women can get away with dress slacks/sweater and a nice wrap. Gents in dress slacks/sweater. I've been to quite a few recently where jackets were not common or required.

Has anyone eaten at L'orangerie on the ile saint louis? i went there a few years ago. it was a great meal...small restaurant...a bit expensive of course, but quoi de neuf?
