Good grief, blackduff, as a lover of mussels I wish I lived by you and would be invited to dinner. My late husband use to clean and debeard mussels and we had a wonderful fish store where we bought them. I now only have mussels when at a restaurant that serves them. Tell you wife I am jealous!

My favorite mussels are not in Paris but in Normandy at the art deco brasserie in Trouville, Les Vapeurs. They come from Mont St-Michel and served in a cream sauce.
We have gone out of our way several times for our fix of them. It was there so long ago that a French woman at the next table taught me how to eat them by using an empty hinged shell as a pincher.

I like Les Vapeurs also and was there on December 26th. The mussels were good, as they always are, but I fear that Léon de Bruxelles now does them better. Also, about 40% of the mussels had fallen out of their shells and had to be fished from the bottom of the pot.

Can someone tell me where Leon de Bruxelles is located. It sounds like a place my family may want to check out during our upcoming March trip. Thanks, Jennifer

Can the fluent French readers/speakers transale the coupons that pop up when you click on the red square? Is this something to print off and take with?
Thanks!

Correct magrb.
The coupons look like a good deal if there are at least two in the party, you are eating tomorrow evening and you present the coupon at the time you request the bill.

Not much good for a tourist without a printer.

Jennifero35- Only one I remember was on the corner of Boulevard St.Germain & Mabillon.
I'll head there this May on Kerouac's recommendation that they do mussels the best.(not particularly that branch but Leon de Bruxelles in general)!

There's a Leon de Bruxelles very near the Bastille column (just a bit north on bd Beaumarchais) and also another on bd de Montparnasse. I think it's right near the intersection of rue de Montparnasse. there's one right on the Champs-Elysees, also.

oh, sure, you can print at all of them, I think. I never have, but they are providing service to people without computers. It's not free, of course.
