trish...there are many excellent restos in Muncih...but do yourselves a favor..an experience you must add to your log..The world renowned Hofbrau House right off Marienplatz....be prepared to spend a good part of the evening oomphing and pa-pah-ing!!! The beer is great, and the food filling and tasty....this ain't no Michelin star-anything...but you must go there for one of the four nights.

Hello Trisha1
We visited Munich last summer for a week, and I will say that there are no bad restaurants in Munich! No matter where we went, it was terrific. Be prepared for huge portions!
A couple of our favorites:
Haxnbauer - check out their "schweinhaxe" roasting in the window on the spit. OMG, these are huge and so delicious!

Andescher am Dom (Weinstrasse 7) - best schnitzel of our trip was here!
Happy travels!

My Munich co-workers took us to Gasthof Isator which was really good. I didn't get to many German restaurants since I was working with a vegetarian and a non meat eater. This was a very useful site for restaurant suggestions-http://www.toytowngermany.com/munich/restaurants_in_munich.html Have fun and let us know what you find.
