monterosso lodging

Hi,
My husband and I will be spending 2 nights in Monterosso in September. Does anybody have any recommendations for a bed and breakfast or apartment to rent? We're looking to spend no more than $130 euros per night.

we stayed at garden hotel in levanto and really loved it. Room 503 has a lovely terrace and is about 125 euro a night. We spent time in monterosso and would have also been happy there, but the only place we heard about that had a/c and may have been quiet we didn't actually see. you can do a search -- it's something like cu gigante and was written up favorably on this board and trip advisor and i think it's about 150 euro. We just returned from CT and LOVED it. 2 nights isn't enough unless all you plan is one quick hike or ferry thru the towns.

Look at Villa Adrianna just above town.

There are hundreds of posts about this on this board so if you search Monterosso you will get lots of recommendations.

Villa Steno is popular, La Poesia B&B is my favorite.

Monterossonet.com is a good resource

Alisohn! Welcome home. I want to hear more about CT, Levanto and the Garden. We also ended up booking the Garden for our Sept. trip. When you are rested, I hope you will write a trip report and provide some details!

Deb, i will do a trip report in the next few days. if you don't mind spending a little more, request room 503. it has a wonderful terrace and is quieter than the other rooms. you will really enjoy Levanto and the garden hotel. absolutely the best of the towns to stay with a car, especially if you plan any day trips. we LOVED Liguria. will post many details and feel free to ask me any questions offline. it was a GREAT trip.

Thanks Alisohn,

We will have a car, but didn't plan to move it while in CT. What day trips did you do? I will try to restrain myself from asking questions until you post your report.

Looking forward to hearing more.

We stayed at Villa Steno last April and really liked it. Make sure to eat at Gambero Rosso in Vernazza.

villa steno tends to book up MANY months in advance and is way above the price range mentioned by kent77.

We paid 120 euro per night last April, with the "Rick Steves" discount. Getting reservations may be another story.
