Monday lunch near Eiffel tower

Leaving Monday afternoon so one last chance for a nice Parisian meal before departure. Staying at the Hilton near Eiffel tower, therefore need to be within walking distance of the hotel. Prefer moderate price but not looking for sandwiches. I know lots of the good places are closed on Monday.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Kathy

If you have time, look for posts about restaurants in the 7th - there are at least 2 recent (2004) ones with lots of recommendations.
Type this phrase: "restaurant and 7th" in the search box.

Have not dined here personally, but have heard good reviews of Chez Ribe at 15 Avenue Suffern, very close to the Hilton. I did a google search and it appears to be open seven days a week. Menu at 23 euro. Phone 01 45 66 53 79.

How about Cafe Constant, 139 rue Saint Dominique? (Chef Christian Constant, also of le Violon D'Ingres) It's supposed to be very good.

Hey minimn! I've eaten at Chez Ribe twice. It's pretty good, typical bistro fare. Actually, according to my experience dinner runs to about $35-40 dependent upon wine, aperitif & cafe.

Ctkathy, La Butte Chaillot at the Trocadero is a good choice for lunch. Not too expensive. I was looking to have lunch there the past couple of trips but somehow just never make it. It's supposed to have GREAT views of la Tour Eiffel!! It's a Guy Savoy bistro.

From what I recall, Sancerre's menu is pretty limited and fairly light. Le Florimond gets raves here but keep in mind the menu is very traditional--lamb, sweetbreads, veal, andouillettes, etc. Le Suffren on Avenue de la Suffren is a little closer to your hotel and a popular local bistro.
