"Mind the Gap" tshirt plus Neck pouches
I'm probably not supposed to put two questions in one post, but they are really minor questions.
#1 Is the London Transport Museum the only place to get the Mind the Gap tees, because I want a shirt, but I am not interested in that particular museum.
#2 Are the neck pouches (long string that goes around one's neck with "wallet" attached to be tucked under shirt) as safe as a money belt? I just think they sound so much more comfortable (plus my sister who is going with me is very very small (size 0 is big on her) and I'm not sure we could find a money belt small enough).
Once again, thanks to all for their help!

Hi Heather,
My wife and I use the neck pouches. They are as safe as moneybelts.
Remember that they are not meant to be purses. If you must get something out of your pouch go to the ladies' room and close the door to the stall.

There are street vendors all over London who sell "Mind the Gap" T-shirts, post cards, mugs, etc., as do most souvenier shops and several news stands. You're sure to find them in areas like Oxford Circus, Portabello Road, Camden Market, Picadilly Circus and Baker Street--usually outside tube stops.
Have a great trip!

Thanks you guys! I don't know why I am even worrying about the little stuff - my trip is next March, so I have plenty of time. But, I have been planning it since late June. It will be my first trip to Europe (except for the hour and a half I spent in the airport in Amsterdam on my way to Morocco a LOOOOOONG time ago, which obviously doesn't count!) Anyway, thanks all!

Hi Heather, I just guess you'll want to see the Covent Garden area anyway.
The Museum of Transport is located right next to the main building there and you can simply go into the museum shop without seing the exhibition and without paying.
I think it's worth it because they have this huge variety of London things suitable as souvenirs.

However, well-bred people do not post the "double" question on alternate Thursdays between 11:09 p.m. and 1:07 a.m.UNLESS it pertains to Provence or Padua (but never, ever questions about both at once).
Have a GREAT trip to one of my favorite cities!! And ask away... it's never too soon to get excited about your first trip!

For your petite sis... might want to consider other options like zip pockets sewn into clothing on the inside (or bought that way from travel-specific sources). Or many people re-make their money belts anyway and use more comfortable strap fabric, add velcro, size to fit more snuggly, etc. There are also some kind of leg holder thingys if you were always wearing long pants. A women's travel vest might be yet another option.

I'm not sure I understand why someone would no longer be interested in a t-shirt because it is being sold at Disney...perhaps that makes it "less exclusive"...I hate to tell you but I've seen those "Mind the Gap" t-shirts sold here in the US, too.
