Can anyone recommend any hotel close to the Fiera priced under $150 - please, no Central Railway Station recommendations. Have made prelim booking for Best Western Berlino - anyone know anything about this one?<BR>Also any good inexpensive restaurant recommendations around the area.<BR>Thanks

Fiera is connected trough the subway to the rest of Milano. The area around fiera is a mixed one, some areas are really nice and pricey, some others are pricey but not as nice. I suggest you look for a hotel elsewhere, as long as it is within reach of the subway, and than take the subway to the Fiera.

Thanks Alice,<BR>Hoped you would have some advice. Only problem with say the central hotels they are becoming expensive at the time we need - Fashion shows at end of Feb beginning of March. Some of the hotels- especially for last 3 days of shows - are doubling in price. Any area you recommend which would have easy access but not so impacted by shows so still be sensibly priced?

We stayed at the Milan Marriott and found it to be a beautiful, well run, reasonably priced hotel. We paid $135 a night. It is close to the Wagner train stop.

If you are worried aboutmprice you do not need to stay in the center of Milano. Check out the Citt&agrave; Studi area or the Hotel Bert in Sesto San Giovanni (close to a subway stop) where some friends of mine staied last night and reported that it was fine and cheap (Via del Riccio, n. 200 - telefono: 022482948 - [email protected]).
