Anyone know a great hotel in Milan, good location, 3 or 4 star? What should we expect to pay for this? Would like to kep it under $200.

Try the Hotel Marconi, via Fabio Filzi. Nice place.

Last August, when so many budget or guidebook recommended hotels were closed, we stayed at the Hotel Lloyd, a short walk from the Duomo. Nice, with friendly staff. But, a business style hotel. Marriott type rooms. Not full of "character!" Great buffet breakfast.

Just got back. Stayed @ Pallazo Della Stelline. Single was 102E w/breakfast. Staff was very helpful athough aloof (Italian). It is accross the street from The church with the last Supper and 15 minutes from the Duomo. Two blocks from where the Malpensa express comes in. It is very clean and nice although not a lot of stars as it has limited banquet, food option etc. No big lobby. It is a little hard to find. BTW it is right next to the French Consulate so the neighborhood is very good. It was recommend by our Italian Agent. I was very pleased.
