Midnight Dining near Green Park Tube-Mayfair?

My husband and I will be arriving very late into Mayfair near the Ritz because of a day time flight from the US. I think we will want to eat. Where can we go for late food in that area? The plane arrive 10:30PM, I don't expect to be in Mayfair until midnight.

I'd opt for room service (if there is any in your hotel), after a nice shower.

DON'T eat at that hour. It will only delay your getting acclimated to the time change. Set your watch to London time as soon as you get on the plane. Stay awake on the plane. Eat on the plane. If you're ravenous when you get to the hotel, order room service or have a snack in the bar. Go to bed so you're fresh for ther next day. That's the whole idea of taking a day flight!

This could be a challenge because the pubs will be closed by then , and most of the restaurants close at midnight.
I am including a couple of websites that list restaurants. www.toptable.co.uk www.squaremeal.co.uk
Maybe you will find one in Covent Garden , Shepherd's Market or Soho ,there is nightlife in these areas.

There are little 24 hour markets scattered all over town, Hart's the Grocer is one. If you inquire of your London hotel before you leave the US, someone there should be able to direct you either to a restaurant that is open after midnight or to one of the 27/7 markets.

Most places around there, as has been pointed out, do close before then. L'Artiste Muscle is in Shepherd's Market a few blocks from the Ritz and is quite good, and I think it is open relatively late. Or you should take a cab from the hotel to Marouche, a Lebanese place w/great food which I believe is open 24 hours.

Thanks for the thoughts! I definitely will want to retire soon so we get on the same time clock. However, we will be staying in serviced apartments, so room service is out. They will be delivering breakfast items to our apartment that day, so maybe a quick egg and toast will suffice. Otherwise, perhaps I can carry a snack. I doubt the plane will be serving food close to landing time, so I suspect we will want something before retiring.

Barbara,
Contact the management of the apartment and ask them purchase a few basic items for you since you are arriving so late. Tell them to either add it to your apt. bill or you will pay them the next day. Have them get you some soup, bread, milk, fruit .. something simple that could be picked up easily, almost anywhere. I'm sure if you talk to them and expain your situation it can be done. Either that or carry some snacks with you (a couple of packages of dry soup mix for instance). Personally, I'd opt for asking them to get a small selection of easy to eat/prepare food and putting it on your bill. If you find out who runs this errand for you, you could give them a tip the next day or when you see them.

Hi again Barbara, I posted earlier.
In my experience flying to Europe, one is served a snack about 90 minutes before the plane lands. So maybe you won't have to go to sleep on an empty tummy after all.

Hi Barbara,
First, I apologize for the assumption about room service. . I read your post too quickly & thought you were staying AT the Ritz rather than near the Ritz. I still stick by my comment though about trying not to eat too late & agree with the previous poster. On an overnight flight they serve dinner & then a breakfast snack before landing, so I would expect they would do something similar on a day flight.

As a fail safe, I'd do what you mentioned & bring something non-perishable along rather than ask the management to lay something in that you may not like. Hope you ahve a great trip.
