a note on trains Interlaken-Ost to Luaterbrunne - trains leaving Interlaken split en route at Zweilutchen - half trundling over to Grindelwald and other part to Lauterbrunnen -be sure to see where the car you board is heading - easy to get on wrong half if don't and have to scurry off at Zweilutchen and then try to find seats in right half. Look at placards on each train car as to where it is heading.
Going to Wengen easy transfer on platform to other - no through trains because of track gauge (width) difference. For Murren from Lauterbrunnen station or opposite really take cable car up cliff to Grutschalp and change to waiting train to Murren.

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately most of the hotels that we inquired in Wengen and Grindelwald were closed on our dates and some would open early June. Our only option for a higher views of the Swiss Alps is Murren. We also checked Lauterbrunnen and the rates were more expensive than Murren.
Another question though, is the Swiss Travel Pass suitable if you're only going to stay in Switzerland for 6 days?

All depends on your itinerary.
Which sidetrips do you plan to do from Lauterbrunnen etc.?
Where will you go afterwards: border railway station, airport?
Load down https://www.sbb.ch/en/ ,check the fares (half fares are shown first) and compare with Swiss Travel Pass (only 25 per cent discount on Jungfrau railway!), Swiss half Fare Card and Regional Pass Bernese Oberland.

I will do my best...assuming I don't explode in the process.

Glad to hear you've got snow - we're up to our eyeballs in it (in fact, it's crimping my style as it's too gloomy for good photos!).
We had snow in Bamberg about 10 days ago - surprised the heck out of me. And Munich was absolutely freezing - a nice change from our past few December visits when it was downright balmy.

If contemplating a Swiss Travel Pass check for specials that pop up giving an extra day free or such for travel in off season like May.
Swiss Travel Pass (only 25 per cent discount on Jungfrau railway!)>
Yes but only above Wengen and Grindelwald - otherwise fully covered from Interlaken to those places but still 25% off instead of 50% off that portion is a good chunk of cash.

nice surprise? I'd rather have it balmy but cold makes those hot gluhweins everywhere so much nicer!

Yes could well be if traveling to more than one base and traveling around that base. Hard to do in 6 days though but very possible depending on what areas you travel around in. Half-Fare Card is a no-brainer probably unless sitting in one place the whole time.
But looks like you'll be in Jungfrau Region the whole time - so either a regional pass like neckervd mentions or Half-Fare Card.
