Mid-March

We have already bought our flight tickets to Istanbul and have fitted our travels around Easter - so is mid-March going to be very cold in Istanbul. Perhaps we should rather do our travels back to front and, after spending a night or two in Istanbul, proceed to Izmir and surrounds and return for a last week in Istanbul on the other side of Easter, i.e.say, from the 1st April-ish to the 7th when we fly out of Istanbul?
On the other hand, is there much difference between the temperatures in March and early April?
Comments?

From a logistics point of view, it makes more sense to jump on a flight to Izmir when you arrive at IST It is a short one hour flight. Then come back to Istanbul and make your visit at the end.

Izmir is warmer than Istanbul normally. No one can guarantee what the weather will be but also some of the tulips may be blooming by the time you arrive back to Istanbul.

Thanks natylou, looking at the temps, it doesn't look as if it makes that much difference so we may just start in Istanbul, no mattr what we arrive at midnight in Istanbul so have to spend at least a night there.
But I do appreciate your imput.
