Medical Insurance While Traveling

I am a 64 year old woman in reasonably good health but I always worry when I travel about an accident. I am not looking for trip cancellation insurance but only medical and emergency air ambulance coverage. I have found many, many companies listed on the internet but wonder if anyone has any personal recommendations. (I would like an annual plan if possible)

I've used tenweb.com - they got me home from Switzerland when I broke my wrist. Check out Seven Corners, they administer tenweb, plus Liaison, which I used for my last trip - that trip was longer than the 90 days per trip tenweb allows - they will do an annual plan.

K - For similar reasons, the last few years I have been purchasing annual membership with Global Rescue. It provides emergency services for medical (with contact to John Hopkins physicians), air ambulance, and evacuation from countries experiencing civil unrest. Definitely provides peace of mind when traveling! Luckily, I haven't had to put them to the test, but reading their web site provides testimonials from those that have.

My husband is 67 with three heart stents and I am 59. We took out a annual policy with MEDJET.ASSIST two years ago when we went to Egypt. Last year we renewed our annual policy when we left for Morocco. We chose it after reading numerous threads on medical insurance on this forum and others. We liked it as it provided everything we want(in terms of medical care and evacuation) for a decent price and had good ratings.
