Mariott Paris Champs Elyses
I will be staying at this hotel with points in May. I have a few questions
Does the hotel have a concierge lounge?
I saw it mentioned on Tripadvisor that someone ask the hotel to empty the mini-fridge in the room so they could use it for beveriges they bought on the outside. Will the hotel actually do this?
Is there a washing machine (coin machine) at the hotel that will prevent us from going to a laundry?
I have never stayed on an award. Do you ask if an upgraded room is available at check-in or do you have to request beforehand?

I have emptied minibars myself, leaving everything in full display, when I have wanted to use it for my own items. I have always had the impression that the cleaning staff approves of this -- "at least someone refuses to pay these insane prices!"
I have no idea about a washing machine in the hotel, but I kind of doubt it. I confess that I only know the main public areas of the hotel, because my company has all of its receptions there. Most "lavomatics" are in poor neighborhoods, so you may have to go quite far afield to find one. (I live in such a poor neighborhood that there are at least 5 of them within 200 meters of my apartment.)

If you are staying on award points, you can ask at check-in for an upgrade to the executive floor. Whether you get one or not depends on many factors, mostly whether or not they have room, and how nice the employee at the check-in desk is feeling that day. All Marriott's have some kind of executive lounge.
I haven't stayed at this Marriott, so don't know about the mini-fridge or in house laundromat. It is on the Champs Elysee however, and I think it highly unlikely that you will see a public laundromat close by.

I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions. It is a fabulous hotel and a great location. It does not have a concierge lounge or coin machines. I would suggest asking the hotel for a small fridge and see if they have or if they recommend using the mini bar and allow them to empty it. I would assume upgrades are available for request at check in..not before hand

Marriotts in europe are generally much more upscale than the typical side of the road places found in the US. More like JW Marriotts. They won;t have laundry facilities (very few hotels in europe do this). You are expected to pay the hotel staff (a fortune) to wash the clothes for you. Or - if you prefer to do it yourself - go out and find a laundromat.
They do have a conceriege - who will be able to tell you where to find a laundromat (but not sure how close it will be - given that you're staying in a tourist area).
You can ask for an upgrade at check-in - but it's unlikely you'll get one unless the hotel is quite empty. (Hotels don;t know what they're going to sell until day of - so will VERY rarely do any upgrades in advance - unless you want to pay for them.) Most hotels prefer to give them to paying customers unless you're a super platinum member.
