Marbella Beach Resort questions

Hope this doesn't post twice-thought I posted it but can't find it. Anyways, do you know if there is a regular shuttle from this hotel into Marbella old town? We'll have a car but don't want to drive into the larger towns if we can avoid it. Are the white villages easy to get to from this locale? And finally, anything else you can tell me about this place?

The last time I was in Marbella was about 4 years ago. Not sure if they have a shuttle from the hotel into town, but I do think you can walk it. The white villages are very easy to access by car. Make sure you go to Puerto Banus. If you like horseback riding, there is a great stable in Estepona - they give a great ride.

Also, be prepared to pay a stiff price for drinks in their "disco". We paid $90 for 4 drinks - and that was 4 years ago.

Also would like to know about buying groceries-most economical to do it in Marbella? We'll have a car and a kitchen so would like to have breakfasts and some other meals at the hotel. But don't want to pay thru the nose for food!

There is a grocery store in town - but if I remember correctly - you will have to drive to it. We didn't eat at their restaurant, but we did stop to see it. It is beautiful. The hallway to the restaurant is lined with glass cases filled with very expensive jewels, and they have armed security standing next to them. I can remember looking at the menu and their entrees started at $75.00.
