Doesn't the Air France bus pick up passengers near the Gare de Lyon (which is in that area of Paris)?

Buy a ticket to CDG at the nearest Métro station. Ride the Métro to the closest RER station (see map, below), and follow the signs to CDG T2.

Exactly where (street address) are you coming from?

Take Metro to St. Michel or Gare Nord and then take RER line B to CDG. Be careful as line B splits with one line going to CDG and one does not. The airport trains leave from track 43. There are 2 stations at CDG. If your flight leaves from Terminal 2 (Air France, American Airlines etc)get off at CDG 2 station. If your flight leaves from Terminal 1 (US Air etc) get off at CDG 1 and take bus #2 to terminal and check in counters. From Marais the whole trip should take about 1-1 1/4 hours.

From another traveler who will be staying in the Marais:

What would the best option if one's flight is leaving from CDG Terminal 3? Does the Air France bus from Gare de Lyon drop off at Terminal 3? We are taking a short jaunt to Ireland from Paris before heading home to the US, so I believe we'll be flying out of CDG 3.

Also, is Gare de Lyon walkable from Place de Vosges? It appears so from the maps I've been studying.

Thanks

While it's necessary to take a shuttle bus from the CDG 1 RER station to Terminal 1, Terminal 3 is a very short walk from that station.

The Air France bus stops at all the terminals.

It's 1.7km from Place des Vosges to Gare de Lyon.

Thanks for the info., TimS. I think 1.7 km may be longer than we'd want to walk with luggage after an overnight flight. We could take the metro from Gare de Lyon to the Bastille station, but I wonder if there are many stairs to negotiate with luggage at those stations?

I have just noticed on the Easyjet website that if you book a flight with them, you can get a ride with Paris Shuttle for 19 euros. Sounds like a good option for our outbound flight! (Although, with 2 of us, a taxi would be just a few euros more. Maybe that's the way to go?)

19 euro is the regular price for Paris Shuttle, so that's no deal at all. I think that is a little higher than some other shuttle services, also.

I've taken the metro from Gare de Lyon to the Bastille stop with luggage and it's not particularly difficult, as far as those things go. There aren't as many stairs or as lengthy a walk or detours as some other stations.

Thanks for the specific info, Larry J. "If your flight leaves from Terminal 1 (US Air etc) get off at CDG 1 and take bus #2 to terminal and check in counters" How often does the bus #2 run from CDG 1 to terminal 1?

The Air France free shuttle buses run between terminals and train stations about every 10 minutes.
