Bélen López is quite spectacular, and she dances in Tablao Corral de la Morería on the other side of the Royal Palace on both the 15th and 16th at 9 and 11pm. http://www.corraldelamoreria.com/en/show.html

Belén López in Madrid a couple of years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hbhkIWSX-Q

But I would strongly suggest to go for the Estrella Morente performance, half the price of Corral de la Morería and could be a truly unique experience. Will be a much more genuine "Madrid" feeling about the whole event.

Interestingly, I see that Estrella Morente is coming to Berkeley,
California next March. It wouldn't be as much fun as seeing her in Madrid, for sure, but if we can't get tickets in Madrid, we could go to her U.S. tour. Has anyone heard of tengoentradas.com? It looks like it is a ticket reseller similar to Stubhub in the U.S. There aren't tickets on that site for the concert either, but I'm just curious.

Never used tengoentradas, always used the direct way through entradas.com or generaltickets.com, but I haven't got the US credit card "problem"

So, kimhe, you insist on continuing to keep this thread off track!
Why reiterate what service you use since you don't have a US card? No help to jag1jag1...........

Alcalá is also a great place to spend your last night when traveling by car if you don't have a horribly early flight. It is about 20-30 minutes from the airport and is a pleasant, easy to manage, small, quiet town for your last old world, charming experience before heading back to your country.
