Revulgo's suggestion features Pepe Habichuela, a 1st class guitarist from a family of well known guitarists.
He may be able to give you some pointers as to the location more specifically but sounds very good to me. Here is the family's info https://www.flamenco-world.com/tiend...bichuelas/227/

Now JLRtravel, when you say you are enamoured with spanish guitar, then I assume you want to go hear a performance in a club or a theater where the guitarist is the featured artist?

Since I am not sure what exactly your preferences are (flamenco/jazz, flamenco fusion/spanish classical etc.)
Keep in mind that if it's flamenco you seek, the guitar is extremely important and dance (baile) really wonderful but less crucial, but cante (song) is the core of it all and without it flamenco really would not exist.

So you may see many more where the singer is featured although most new to the artform are drawn to the dance first.

For a general introduction anyway I would suggest Casa Patas at some point, for example you can do the midnight show on the 13th or 14 and the show will have a small group that includes two dancers, two guitarists, a singer and I believe a sax. http://www.casapatas.com/actuaciones.asp

I hope to get to Cardamomo so I can't really recommend it yet but sounds less expensive though not always has a "show"
It may be worth a try for a drink. www.screamtabu.com/cardamomo/

Of course there are the bigger well known Tablaos listed on Fodors, & as a compromise you might consider Las Carboneras (I plan to go there for the first time in Oct) http://www.tablaolascarboneras.com/web/index.html

<B>List of Concerts:</B>
The de flamenco website shows the upcoming events (but not organized by area unfortunately) but a good list so you will have to zero in on Madrid http://www.deflamenco.com/agenda/events.jsp?accion=p

On this list during your time frame I see a featured guitarrist Pedro Barragan who unfortunately I have not heard of but if you want guitar only I would suggest this concert.

I also see Jorge Pardo's group as well which is more modern sounding flamenco with a jazz influence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As3JDGeTbFo

I am still getting used to the sax in flamenco I must be honest, the flute in flamenco is easier for me to accept, the sax I still am working on. However it may appeal to you and that is also what makes flamenco so great it has morphed, fused and also returned to it's roots and all has it's place.

Just FYI for the guitar fan you just missed the tremedously talented (& now famous) Tomatito who looks to return to Madrid in April according to his website..http://www.tomatito.com/home_cast.html

While we're at it no conversaion about flamenco guitar soloists would be complete without mention of Paco de Lucia (his website appears to need updating re his concerts or he is on break perhaps) If you are really ooking to get into the guitar you must include some of his work
http://www.pacodelucia.org/flash_ingles.htm

Hopefully this is not too scattered, in any case helped a little as a start.
