We love all 3 restaurants created by the Aparicio brothers. Here's an article about them.

Valencia Shanghai refers to the spices. It's Valencian style duck rice with a taste of China. It's addictive but very, very rich, an individual portion that leaves me with no room for dessert.

You need another trip! I'm sure you´ll be back as soon as you can, so save some of those 35 for your next trip!Lola Cuerda, the tortilla master and Dani’s wife, prepares it with sunflower oil in a cast iron skillet and flips it only once. She uses a half kilo of potatoes, 6 or 7 eggs, depending on their size, a couple of onions very thinly diced. “Good ingredients, experience and heart” are her secrets. She starts up the stoves every morning at 6:15 am, the first one comes out of the kitchen at 7:30 am, and she and her team make 300 tortillas a day and up to 500 on weekends between Casa Dani, its take away counter and its bar on the terrace at the Lagasca entrance. You can even buy a whole one at the takeaway counter and have it for your NYE apartment feast.

"Gilda skewers", a great idea from a Basque!
and oysters from Oh, Dèlice Bistrot in the market, where Phil took the owners of Casa Dani, and...
excellent bread from Cientotreina and...
hand sliced Iberian ham from Álvarez Selección and...
wonderful cheeses from La Boulette and....
for dessert, the Portuguese pastéis de nata from Maninha Sardinha and/or...
a roscòn de Reyes to go from Tahona Ayala.
Irice,
If you decide on the Calle de los Madrazo apartment, the Mercado de la Paz is where I would do my NYE feast shopping. It's a true feast for the senses. Truly..
