Lyon area hotels and dining
Hi,

I am interested in getting opinions on hotels in or around (less than 30 minutes drive to) Lyon. Ideal price range is $125-$150/night for a double, but could go to $200 per night if needed. I have read here about Chateau de Longsard. I have also read of La Cour des Loges (which got a big rant in the Rants and Raves sections). Any recent feedback on either of these? Other ideas/options?

Any suggestions on moderately priced dining options (say, $25-50/person for dinner) would also be appreciated.

Thanks.

Marie

Hi, Friend,

Unless I am really missing something, the only discussion I saw that had this information was focused on three very high end hotels: La Tour Rose, Villa Florentine and La Cour des Loges. All of those push the $200+ range. I was hoping to get some recommendations perhaps one level down from those in terms of price and luxury.

Thanks.

Marie

Try Perouges -- I've heard the rooms are nice and it seems like it would be a cool place to stay (it's a medieval village). I believe it's well within your price range. When the guys from Paris would come to the office they'd stay in Perouges, not in Lyon.
