Help !! - Inexpensive Hotels in Milan

I will be traveling to Milan in the beginning of June. Can anyone recommend a really nice hotel (private bath, central to sites, immaculately clean) that accomodates four people to a room? Also I am on a tight budget and would like to keep the price between $140-$160 a night.

Thanks in advance!

Hello. I just booked a four-star hotel through www.venere.com that is near the train station in Milan for 89 Euros a night. It must be "low season" because the rates are ususally much higher. It is Hotel Andreola. I am unsure on the quad rooms but did see junior suites as well for 99 Euros. E-mail them and ask. Check it out!

I have already suggested staying in a Residence hotel. Contact me direct for further info as I am currently in Milan and can give some insight on this question and any others you might have.

Ian---- I read your suggestion on Residencia Arcolano, but the rates on the website were monthly rates. What are the hotel rates? I may accompany my goddaughter to get her settle for her first semester in a Milan University and the info you provided earlier looked very good.

Check on either Expedia website or http://www.tripadvisor.com for any deals that might bring a nicer hotel into your price range. As a solo traveller I've stayed in London Hotel on Via Rovello. It's a small hotel on a quiet side street, central & well located to all sites. You'd have to check if they can accommadate 4 people in one room. Noted a couple other hotels on Via Rovello that looked nice from outside (another named Gritti Hotel).
