Help find hotel near Milan!

My husband and I will be going to Milan for his business 9/11 - 9/20. I have never been to Europe and will be alone during the business days. We have been told all hotels in Milan are completely booked due to conventions and we'll have to stay outside of Milan. Any hints on where to stay - that would be safe, near subway or bus, and one that would be close enough for H to commute to work in Milan everyday. BTW, we found out about this trip yesterday so we don't have much time to plan at all!!! Thank you so much for any help!

Try www.tripadvisor.com. I typed in your dates and there are a number of hotels with rooms, as long as price is not an issue. You can read the reviews as well to help you decide. Also try venere.com.

Good luck!

Try ratestogo.com, a last minute consolidator. They have lots of options in Milan and I have used them in the past with good success.

I also like Otel.com for Europe.
