luxurylink.com-Grand Hotel Continental Siena

Has anyone bought hotel nights from this site?I'm trying to buy 3 nights in Grand Hotel Continental in Siena-Italy in a deluxe double room for 1155 EUR.They require you to pay in advance for the site or you pay directly to the hotel? Is it reliable?Thank you.

Hi,

I have used Luxurylink.com and yes, they are reputable. I contacted the Castello di Velona prior to bidding to make sure my dates were available. Since my dates were available I bid and won the auction so I dealt directly with the hotel from that point on. All went very smooth.

Just make sure you confirm with the Grand Hotel Continental that they have your dates and let them know you plan on bidding on this auction. You'll be fine.

You may want to search "luxurylink or luxury link" in this forum because there have been many threads on people who have used them.

Have a great trip!

Hi Geo,

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking but, I definitely contacted the hotel, Castello di Velona prior to making my bid on Luxurylin. I clearly told them that I was planning to bid on a package at their hotel featured thru LuxuryLink. The hotel confirmed they had availability on my dates and when I won the auction I replied to the email chain letting them know I was the confirmed high bidder. I got a confirmation from Luxurylink of some sort. It was a few years ago so I don't remember if it was a number or voucher. I'm sure their website will tell you how you go back confirming your reservation. In any case, they wrote back promptly confirming my dates and I just brought the email with me when we traveled. There were no issues and everything was done according to the description on luxurylink. We had an amazing room overlooking the Val D"Orcia. It was unforgettable!

My dates were set so I wouldn't have bid on the auction if I hadn't contacted the hotel first. If you have specific dates in mind you should definitely contact the Grand Continental Hotel l and ask if they have availability over your dates. I wouldn't hesitate to tell them you're bidding on the package through Luxurylink. I'm sure their reservations department is familiar with it.

Hope that helps!

LuxuryLink is great... I've taken a ton of trips (South Africa, New Zealand, France, Scotland, Belize, Virgin Islands, Austria). The trips have been great and I've never had a problem with dates.

That said, I'd check availability first with the hotel.
