kit- I haven't tried the solid shampoo, but the shampoo bars are wonderful! They have different ones for all types. I have fine, fly-away hair and I absolutely love the one for that type hair - Featherweight Fruit Bar. This time I also got one for oily hair -called Jumping Juniper, but I haven't tried it yet. They did have travel tins for them, but they're not available now. As of last week, they were still trying to find someone to make them again. They also have the conditioners - they are also available in different types (I use the Forever in Bloom) and comes in 2 different size bottles. Beware, as others have noted, their products can become addictive!

Jane, I think the solid shampoo and the shampoo bars are the same thing. Now if they'd just make figs and leave shampoo. Ahh...

Hey, figs are incredible! I have fig trees at my house in France and if you squeeze them over you and rub the juices over you you will get the best massage and facial you can imagine - they've been famous for improving health since ancient times. Get figs...get cool, man.

I read a lot of ravings about the Lush and when going to London visited their shop as one of first things on my list.
I must say that flavors of their products are strong but very specific. You have to know what exactly you are buying.
A lot of things recommended by other people which I eagerly anticipated to buy, had a smell that was far from pleasant for me. I bought some items, and some gifts, but i had selected them carefully.
It would be better to order things online that you know for sure will suit your tastes.

I posted this on another thread, but never received an answer.

The Lush shop in Covent Garden -- do they have a mini massage bar? I heard it somewhere else, but never learned anything about it. Sounds wonderful if it's true!

Thanks!

kav - I never had a problem with the Aromarant deodorant bar - in fact I love it and have used nothing else for a couple of years now - but one of the other ones (I forget the name, but had a patchouli scent) was just awful. Raw, peeling armpits for a week at least. So yeah, I guess you have to be careful to test these things on a small area before you start using them in earnest.

Lush shops in London: I usually go to the Carnaby Street one, it's just off Oxford street.

me/xxx - I am glad your find aromarant works for you, i was surprised at my reaction as the initial blurb about it when first released was that it was the one recommended for people who found allergic reactions to regular high street deodorants. i actually communicated with their customer service after my problems with it and did notice they dropped that claim from subsequent descriptions of it.
anyway, i agree with the above poster that some of the products can be quite distinctive so its best to choose your own if you can. i think all the ones i recommended happen to be amongst their most popular so probably are safe bets when choosing for someone else.
kavey

Ceridwen's Cauldron bath melts are the best. We also like butterball bath bombs, banana moon, figs/leaves and alkmaar soaps. King of skin is also lovely!

I love the solid shampoo--especially the fruity one. It really makes my flat hair bounce! My fave soaps are Karma, Pineapple Grunt, and Banana Moon. they make me AND my bathroom smell great!

I don't care for the deodorants or the exfoliating sushi.
