Luggage Storage in Ghent

We will be taking train from Brussels to brugge and would like to spend part of the day in Ghent. Is there luggage storage in the train station at Ghent--or would it be better to move on to the hotel in Brugge and comeback to Ghent another day.

There are lockers and a luggage room (with staff, open 6.15 am till 9.30 pm) in the main station of Gent, which is Gent Sint Pieters.

Yes, and it is quite a lovely train station at Ghent as well-but I would HIGHLY ADVISE spending more than part of a day in Ghent-when you get there, you'll see what I mean-easily 3 days-it's quite wonderful-an undiscovered jewel of Europe and one of my favorite cities-great place to pick up hand made lace-this is the lace making area of Belgium, and I have some lovely linen and lace pieces I picked up at a store just on the lKorenlei called, in English, "Home Linen"-you should stop in there for some lovely linen and lace items for yourself and gifts for friends.

Also, take one of the very inexpensive boat rides on the Korenlei-well worth it, particularly to see the castle Gravensteen with its moat, as you float by.

Thank you both for info and suggestions. Do plan to arrive in good time in the morning (to Ghent) and spend at least the whole day there before moving on to Brugge. However, if we wish we can come back.
