Did anyone arriving at Heathrow lately still have problems with lost luggage ?

We just flew into T5 and were very worried as well. Luckily everything went without a hitch. We flew into T3 and transferred to T5 for our flight to Frankfurt on the 19th. We were going to carry on only but in the end decided to check our luggage and everything was fine.

We also flew back into T5 from Munich, and transferred back to T3, on Sunday and this also went without a hitch.

We flew into T4 and my luggage did not show up. My husband got his but I had to fill out a report and keep calling for the status. They finally found it at JFK where we had switched planes, and it was delivered to our hotel on the 2nd day. That was the first time I ever had a lost bag, so was very surprised. Just glad to finally get it, I had to wear my husband's shirt!

I've passed through LHR 5 times in the past 10 days and have only checked my bag to LHR and not through, since I can't afford for it to go missing even one day. This has resulted in a couple of "landside" transfers being necessary (i.e. through customs and then train inter-terminals) so a bit longer and hassled, but nothing terrible.

I have not, however, seen any queues of unhappy people at the T4, T5 or T1 BA baggage service offices at the bag claims, so on the basis of that unscientific approach, things appear to be functioning adequately. However, where BA and BAA are concerned, Dirty Harry's words keep coming back to me.

One last luggage check-in left, on Tuesday at AA. No worries.

We went through T5 last week 2 times (to and fro on each end with luggage transfers) and all 5 pieces of luggage arrived!
